Privacy Policy

Leadership Professional Development Center (“LPDC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website and the LPD Coach mobile/web application (together, the “Service”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information about you when you use the Service, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms and Conditions.

Service: The website and LPD Coach application operated by LPDC.
Personal Data: Information about an identified or identifiable person.
Usage Data: Information collected automatically from Service use (e.g., device, browser, pages viewed, time on page).
Cookies: Small data files placed on your device.
Data Controller: The entity that determines purposes and means of processing Personal Data (LPDC).
Data Processor / Service Provider: An entity that processes data on behalf of LPDC.
User / Data Subject: A person who uses the Service and is the subject of Personal Data.

• Contact details (e.g., email, first and last name).
   
• Account/profile information you choose to provide.
   
• Communications with us (e.g., support requests, feedback).
   

• IP address, device identifiers, browser type/version, operating system, referring URLs.
   
• Pages or screens viewed, time and date of visits, time spent on pages, and diagnostic data.
   
• If using a mobile device: device type, OS, device ID, mobile browser, and similar diagnostics.
   

We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
Types include:

• Session cookies (operation)
   
• Preference cookies (remember settings)
   
• Security cookies (security & fraud prevention)
   

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Some features may not function without cookies.

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
   
• Communicate with you (e.g., updates, security alerts, support).
   
• Enable interactive features you choose to use.
   
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and enhance security.
   
• Analyze usage to improve features and user experience.
   
• Send you newsletters or offers about similar services (you can opt out anytime by emailing ken@lpdcenter.org or using unsubscribe links).
   

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process Personal Data based on:

• Contract (to provide the Service).
   
• Consent (e.g., certain marketing/cookies).
   
• Legitimate interests (e.g., security, analytics) balanced against your rights.
   
• Legal obligations (compliance, recordkeeping).
   

We keep Personal Data only as long as needed for the purposes described here (and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements). Usage Data is typically retained for a shorter period unless needed to improve security/functionality or required by law.

We host and process data in the United States (including via Google Cloud Platform (GCP)). If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to the U.S., where laws may differ. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers consistent with applicable law.

We may disclose Personal Data:

• To Service Providers (see below) who help us run the Service and are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
   
• To comply with lawful requests and legal obligations.
   
• To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of you or others.
   
• In connection with a business transaction (e.g., merger, acquisition), subject to this Policy’s protections.
   

We do not sell Personal Data. We also do not “share” Personal Data for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by California law. If that changes, we will update this Policy and provide required opt-out mechanisms.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Data (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, least-privilege practices, backups). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

We may use third parties to provide infrastructure, analytics, and related services, such as:

• Google Analytics (usage measurement; we have not enabled Advertising Features).
   
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (hosting, storage, and operations).
   

These providers access Personal Data only to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for other purposes.

• Marketing: You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using unsubscribe links or by emailing ken@lpdcenter.org.
   
• Cookies: Use your browser settings to manage cookies. Where required by law, we will present a cookie banner to manage consent.
   

We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided Personal Data, contact ken@lpdcenter.org and we will take steps to delete it.

Subject to exemptions, you may have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Depending on your state, you may have the right to:

• Know/Access the categories and specific pieces of Personal Data we collected about you.
   
• Correct inaccuracies.
   
• Delete Personal Data (subject to exceptions).
   
• Portability of certain data.
   
• Opt out of targeted advertising, sales of personal information, or profiling with legal effects (we do not engage in these practices as described above).
   
• Appeal a decision regarding your request (where applicable).
   

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Email ken@lpdcenter.org with your request and the state/region you reside in. We will verify your identity (e.g., by confirming control of your email). You may use an authorized agent where allowed by law, subject to verification and authorization requirements. For appeals (where applicable), email ken@lpdcenter.org with “Appeal” in the subject line.

You can request account and data deletion by emailing ken@lpdcenter.org. If an in-app deletion path is added, we will update this section.

We may use de-identified and/or aggregated information to improve our products and services (including quality, security, and performance). We do not use your personal conversational content to train generalized AI models that are provided to other customers unless you explicitly opt in. If this approach changes, we will update this Policy and provide appropriate choices.

If we offer the Service through partners or as a white-label solution, those partners must protect Personal Data consistent with this Policy and applicable law. LPDC is not responsible for partners’ independent processing outside of our instructions or agreements. We maintain agreements with subprocessors (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics) requiring confidentiality and appropriate security.

The Service may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their privacy policies.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post updates here and revise the Effective date above. Where required, we will also provide additional notice.
